Inside the
Murphy’s Law website

Not just the live site. The brief, the thinking and every piece we shipped to get it live.

The brief

01234

Murphy’s Law puts legal research, document drafting and case-law search in one AI assistant that knows South African legislation. The product is powerful, but its audience is cautious: lawyers who distrust hype and individuals who find law intimidating. The site had to feel as considered as a law firm, show the real product rather than describe it, and make three different audiences each feel it was built for them.

The approach

We set the brand in an editorial serif on warm white, with black as the only accent, so it reads like a well-set legal document rather than a software landing page. The hero pairs “Legal Intelligence. Redefined.” with a calm photograph and one action, Book a demo, under a floating pill navigation. A demo film sits second, in a cream block, so a visitor sees Murphy handle research and drafting within one scroll. Key Features is a tabbed showcase of four capabilities, instant legal insights, document automation, research revolutionized, and 24/7 accessibility, each illustrated with the live product interface showing real citations, sources and related questions. A solutions section then speaks to each audience in turn, starting with Personal Legal Empowerment for individuals. A tools section shows three workflows side by side, drafting, review and the chat assistant, and the page closes on a dark pricing block with three plans, a monthly or yearly toggle, an FAQ and contact.
